I haven’t written a blog yet on how amazing all squad month was last month in Costa Rica, but I figure you guys need to hear more about these people who are shaping and transforming my life.
All squad month is when all six teams come together and do ministry at the same location, live together, eat together, and just do life together for a whole month. We as a squad, including our squad leaders are made up of 39 people. I am convinced this is the best size group you could ever have. Any more people would be overwhelming, any less would be lacking. So here is a little bit about these 39 souls that bring me so much joy.
We are a squad made up of some of the most selfless personalities- some through the way they clean up after our squad without complaining, doing dishes, and cleaning bathrooms trashed by dozens of women. We have people on our squad who are self-less and loving in the way they listen, care for, and pray for each other. We have people on our squad who have the gift of laughter and so many times this past month did I find myself exploding with joy and laughter from just simply being around people that carry such a joyful presence. As a squad we have people who are passionate about painting, worship, dancing, tea/coffee, spiritual gifts, and prayer. As a squad we have dance parties, slip n slide adventures, we share bedtime stories, we discuss deep things, we blast music while we cook, we laugh at the devil in the face, and we love life together. As a squad we are driven to grow. We are determined to see transformation. We are in love with life and all that God has for us this year. As a squad, we NEVER say no. These people are changing my life and the lives around them more and more everyday and I KNOW God has hardly began the change inside each and everyone of them individually. I can’t imagine this year without all 38 of them. Each bringing something so unique, so beautiful, to our squad. Watch this amazing video put together by one of my squad mates- Brittney Gonzalez to get a glimpse of our all squad months and the kids we fell in love with –>
I’d also like to ask you all to consider donating to some of my squad mates who have a deadline coming up end of November. I thank you so much for financially blessing me so far this year and I am less than 2,000 away from being fully-funded! Praise God! It is only with your help. But, I have squad mates who don’t have the money they need for this coming November and I know this is where God is calling each of them this year. I ask you to pray. I ask you to consider donating to them. I ask you to partner in believing with us that God is going to provide! Here are their names and the links to the blogs of some of them that still need donations.
