To say “it’s been a while” is an understatement. Life has been moving so quickly and in different directions, all at the last minute. The summer flew by and I hardly took the time to notice it
was even here. I’ve been spending the last few months here in Kimball, NE with
my very gracious Aunt and Uncle and their 3 kids. We’ve had softball, baseball,
golf, piano, summer school, football, girl scouts,  and library days to keep us all very busy…things have yet to
change
but it’s been a delight seeing Hannah, Ethan, and Sammy grow and learn new
things!

When we weren’t keeping busy with extra curricular
activities, we were traveling. We went on a motorcycle trip with My uncle’s
family through Yellowstone, Utah, Montana, and Colorado. A month later we went
to a pharmaceutical convention in Washington, D.C.. I had a blast touring D.C.
with my aunt and hanging out with the family! We got to stay in the Gaylord
Hotel-I was spoiled! A couple weekends ago, my aunt and cousins took myself and
two of my best friends on our “First Annual Fly By the Seat of Your Pants”
trip. We went to Devil’s Tower, Deadwood, and Mt. Rushmore. We had a fabulous
time and we can’t wait to make it a tradition!

Personally, I went to two lovely weddings: Mr. and Mrs.
Jeremy Caveness in Tulsa, OK and Mr. and Mrs. Luke Davis in Wichita, KS. Both
were amazing and it was SO good see friends from school that I had been missing
like mad! I was also very blessed to visit another one of my very best friends in July,
Miss Cortney in Pensacola, FL. All in all, I’ve been to 12
different states since the middle of May! Whew…

Once the little ones went back to school in the middle of
August, I started working at my uncle’s pharmacy. I love the people I work with
and it’s been fun to see the different personalities interacting! I just pray I
help out a bit! The last few weekends I’ve done garage sales in Greeley, CO and
Cheyenne, WY. It’s been such a blessing because family and friends have donated
their stuff to be sold! In Greeley, I actually had the sweetest lady, Angie,
come up to my sale. I told her about why I was doing my garage sale and she
ended up making me a batch of burritos to sell the next day! I was
flabbergasted by how casual she made it. I was just floored by her generosity!
It’s funny how I’ve been trying to show Christ’s love, that I forget that He is
showing me himself, too! Anyway, with the money I raised in Greeley, I was able
to buy a lot of my gear for the World Race! I got my spiffy new backpack, tent,
and other cool stuff (on my shopping trip, I had Dan, a World Racer, and Evin, an
Army Medic/Firefighter, to help me pick things out)! I’m hoping to have two more
garage sales (weather permitting) in Kimball and Laramie, WY.

It’s been a whirlwind of a few months here in my life! I’ve
been meaning to update my blog for a while, and am only just now doing it. I am
very grateful for your support and prayers! I need them now more than ever! As
you can imagine, I’m getting a little burnt out, so prayer for endurance and
continued faith would be much appreciated! I fear I’ve become complacent while
waiting for the launch date in January. Pray for a renewed focus on loving and
serving God and His children here and now, not just when my mission work “begins”.
After all, our mission work begins the moment we accept Christ. Pray that I can
remember that. Finally, pray for the financial support for myself as well as my
teammates! I’ve come a very long way, but I still have a ways to go. Please feel
free to shoot me a message or email, as I’d LOVE to hear from you! Many
blessings to you this day!

Not I, but Christ in me,

Megan
