They Have a Name Too…
*The Uganda Street Children in Busia, Uganda*
This month our team has been loving on, and ministering to the street children…From the first morning some of our team woke up at 5 am to bring them bread and tea & share with them the Love of God, the Lord broke my heart for these children. They live on the street and they have left their homes mostly due to abusive home situations. They each have a name and God is persuing each one of their hearts & lives.
Our team was able to see progress in the boys getting off of their drugs. Some sniffed glue or alcohol to numb the pains of their past. One day we were working with them they threw their drugs to the side, and we burned them. The Holy Spirit showed up and touched the hearts of these boys through the love of Jesus in our team.
I loved being able to listen to their stories & to pray for them. Before leaving Busia, God laid on my heart to buy a few of them pairs of shoes, since they had been walking around barefoot. God spoke to me that first day of seeing them …
Our team was able to bring them closer to Christ and give them some new clothes & shoes. Now these boys are in the hands of Grace Victory Outreach Chruch in Busia, Uganda. All some of these boys want is a way out of having to stay on the street. To be able to go to school. If I had the money I would pay for them to attend school, but I don’t. Please pray for God to provide the funding for each one of these children…and the others which are not in the picture as well. There was about 12 boys total that we were able to work with.
