Stand up and Speak Out Blessings

 Uh oh?? Where is the priest?? He wasn’t there… No one seemed to know what had happened. Except for…God. (Who had planned this out ahead of time and knew this would happen…)Then something happened. My heart started beating faster and I heard God speak to me. Megan….”Now is your chance to stand up and speak out”. Then I heard someone in the crowd say: “How about Meg?”…Time seemed to stand still in that moment and I knew what God was asking me to do. So I said without hesitation, “I’ll do it”.  Without any practice or forewarning I was obedient to the Holy Spirit and excited about being able to speak out. So all that spirit led prayer practice had paid off. I got to give my Sister and her New Husband Chris a blessing before the reception began… I am so thankful that God did all the speaking for me and that it flowed so graciously in front of hundreds of people. At first I was a LITTLE nervous but I could not let my own sister go without a blessing @ her Wedding reception and I heard the Holy Spirit calling me to do it. So after other’s in my family saw Jesus in me, and experienced a spirit led prayer, they were curious and this opened the door for me to be able to speak freely about God and what he has been and is doing in my life as I prepare for missions work throughout the evening. It was pretty amazing.

Then, today was my family reunion down @ the Peninsula, and I was nominated once again to give a blessing before we all ate. What an honor to be asked and able to pray over my family and give blessings through the power of Jesus that is within me. I am so thankful for words that come from God and blessings that open doors!

 It is a blessing to be able to bless others!
