Rains of Righteousness
Isaiah 45: 5-8
“ I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I , the LORD, do all these things. ‘You heavens above, rain down righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it; I, the Lord, have created it.”
The other day I was reading Isaiah and I wrote a poem about the righteousness that God has poured down on my life…and the righteousness that he pour down on yours…
You Strengthen Us,
Sustain Us, Bring us Up & Out into Life,
Into Righteousness,
Like the Clouds Pour Down Rain,
You Pour Down Your Love,
On The Souls Of The People You Have Created,
We Rise and Fall,
Like The Sun,
You Allow Us to Rise Again,
From Night To Day,
The Creation Speaks Of Your Glory,
We Are The Works Of Your Hand.
Jesus, may your Sons & Daughters of Creation embrace the rains of righteousness that your hands pour down. Bring us up and into life. Like the sun rises and shines upon us, may your light and love shine up each one of us. God we want to show your glory & exhibit that glory to those around us. We were created to display your glory at the work of your hands. Thank you for your righteousness and clouds of endless love that continue to pour down on us…. Amen.
