Tomorrow is the day I am flying out to San Francisco to head down to Redding! Excited for what lies ahead and for all that the Father is going to do. He’s given me some words about what He is going to teach me while I am at Worshipu, and I feel confident that this is going to ignite the vision once again that the Father laid back on my heart in 2011 while on the World Race. While on the World race the Lord spoke to me while I was in the Philippines painting ” I came that they may have life, and life to the full” …(John 10:10) I was painting this at a rehab home for young boys who were released from a life of captivity into freedom. I was just asking like a daughter asks her daddy ” So now that I know who I am in you, an artist, a dancer, a worshiper…what are you going to do with all of these gifts?” and I heard the Father reply….” You are going to start a rehab home for teen girls struggling with addictions and depression using art therapy” Alright Lord! It blew me away. I heard Him loud and clear speak to my heart. Now it’s about to come alive…
The Lord laid on my heart a vision to start a group home for teen girls here in Detroit using art therapy and discipleship as a way to bring healing, restoration and knowledge of the Father heart of God. God put me in the perfect place to do this! I live in an artist housing community that supports small businesses and non-profits which is a huge blessing! This fall when I return from Bethel, I am going to start by doing community art workshops. There is a big vision to start a group home, but I realize within that there need to be little steps towards the goal! So the vision now is to start classes and open them up for teens in the Detroit area. I am also praying about other age groups as well and starting up some art therapy. I am also looking forward to being able to bring resources back to my church, and am praying about singing back up vocal on a worship team too! <3 Since I was a kid, I always loved singing, and I felt like that voice got pushed back from a lot of things I went through, but that voice is coming back !
As I venture out and get the privilege of sitting under teachers like Bill Johnson, Amanda Cook, Steffany Gretzinger, Housefires, Jeremy Riddle, and more! I am so honored and blessed by this journey ahead and I am so excited for what is about to happen!
