Meet My New Team!
CLP: Childlike Prophets
Sarah, ME (Megan), Sabrina, Steven, Josh, Emily & our Team Leader Tom
During our 3 month debrief in Entebe, Uganda we were given our new team! Our team of 7 has 3 guys, and 4 girls. We decided on our team name being CLP which stands for Child-Like Prophets. We choose this name for our team because each one of us brings a sense of childlike faith; we all hear from God differently and express that in a variety of ways. Some of our team is gifted musicly, while others are gifted with artistic abilities. We look forward to bringing an aesthetic flare into our worship and ministry throughout the month. I am really excited about our new team and I know that the God has great plans in putting us all together. There is already a strong sense of unity & I know we all with push eachother to new levels of faith…
After not sleeping, we left our ministry site in Manilla at 1:45 am to catch our 3:45 am flight to a south island of the Philippines called Mindanau. We arrived around 6:00 am, had a quick breakfast before we got on a bus, and had our two our trip to where we will be staying. I have to admit I was a little bummed out to leave the city at first because I am more of a city girl….However, I know the Lord always has great plans and knows what is best despite what I feel my desires might be.
We are still working with KIM (Kids International Ministries) this month. The children’s home that we will be doing our main ministry with is located on the compound we are staying on. There are 25 boys & girls currently staying in the home.

We have two WR teams here in Malaybalay & The girls & guys have separate cabins. I am so thankful for showers & our own beds! The food here is also quite speclacular. The mango is the sweetest & juiciest mango I have ever tasted. My other favorite is the stir fry! Last night we had fresh, homemade fish sticks with bannana ketchup. Sounds gross but it is actually pretty delicious….
Every morning our teams divide up shifts between getting the children ready to go to school, and throughout the day & night, taking care of the babies/toddlers in the nursery (including an overnight shift-which I must say is going to be challenging).
Other opportunities for ministry include a feeding program (AWANAS) which our teams will be helping with every saturday, tutoring at the schools, daily intentional prayer, a weekly hospital ministry, and jail ministry. A former world racer, Jodi Greenlee, has opened up a recovery home for men coming out of prison. The vision that God gave her is truely amazing. Upon coming on the world race & ministering to these men, God laid a passion on Jodi’s heart for sharing the love of Christ with them. Jodi’s ministry is called new life and is based on 2 Corinithians 5:17 which says,
“ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
