After almost 24 hours of straight traveling we made it to Kuala Kri, Malaysia! Around 8 in the morning Cambodian time, we got on a van/taxi to the airport, then caught our flight @ 11:40. After flying into Malaysia we got on a bus that took us to a bus station where we hung out for few hours, then took another taxi to another bus station. We got on another bus which took us to our contact after an overnight bus ride. We arrived at 5 in the morning after what felt like forever. It was pretty exhausting! It’s starting to feel normal to travel and hang out in places for hours waiting…It also starts to become normal to fall asleep in random places ( like bus stations). Good thing for teammates who stay awake and watch your stuff.

As we arrived our contact greeted us bright & early at 5 in the morning. I was hoping we could sleep after all of that travel…Our contact then told us we should be ready by 9:00 am to spend the day with him! I had to laugh and wonder how I would even function. Then we were shown our rooms…! We have beds! A fridge! Oh yes, and Air conditioning! We are really spoiled this month! Thanks God…

Pastor Yesu & His Wife Theresa are an Indian family. Yesu has so much enthusiasm for Jesus and it is contagious. He also has a tremendous amount of energy. His energy must have spread to me because even after a night of 3 hours of sleep I felt full of life. Yesu took us to a nearby city and encouraged us to just continually be in prayer for the people around us. That God could really move in the power of our prayers. We went out to eat with Pastor & his Wife to a really nice restaurant which was really great blessing! We got what might have been the best meal I have had on the world race. Fish, shrimp, fried rice, vegetables, chicken, and tofu with Chinese Tea. We met the owners and they are a Christian couple. They wanted to bless us with the meal & in turn we were able to pray for them in their restaurant, The Four Season, before leaving. Business is difficult so please pray for their business!

We walked around some shopping centers, had our team time at a coffee shop, and then Pastor had another surprise for us! I had a pastry that had what looked like whipped cream in it but it tasted like butter. I think when I  go home I am going to learn how to bake & cook all of these amazing things that I have tried around the world.

Then for our surprise… the ocean….! It was so beautiful to see the waves crash along the shore. The Lord’s presence is so strong in the midst of his creation. I set my feet in the water and the waves crashed up on me, so fast that I got soaked unexpectedly up to my waist. The waves are current were wild. Just like the Lord’s love for all of the people here. Welcome to month 7, Malaysia…
