Easter Sunday In L’viv
(Please enjoy the beautiful Matt Maher video I found, “Christ is Risen” Looovveee it)

Today in Ukraine is the Celebration of Christ Rising again! It was a great day in which we celebrated the victory we have in Christ rising from the dead. What an amazing blessing to be called a daughter and child of God. Today when we came down to breakfast there were little ceramic dishes with chocolate bunnies & eggs, wooden painted eggs, the special Ukrainian easter bread to start off the day. Then we went to church service in which our team presented the skit we have practiced all week; the “Everything” Skit with the song by Lifehouse. It went really well! I will be posting a video of it sometime this week.

There was also a homeless man who came to church today who accepted Christ for the first time! The spirit was so alive during worship & it was a blessed Easter. We had an enjoyable meal with the Blessing family, and a married couple with a little baby named Timothy whom they dedicated today at the service! He was so adorable. For dessert we ate Chocolate & Lemon Pies & more chocolate! L’viv is known for it’s chocolate being delicious. 🙂 To finish the night our team played a few games together & had some good times…
It was a great Easter!
After several attempts I learned how to say the greeting everyone uses here on “Resurrection Day”
Khrystos Voskres!”(Christ is Risen!), and the reply is:

“Voistyno Voskres!”(He is Truly Risen!)

Traditional Ukrainian Easter Cake.
Pie & Chocolate!
