From Way Up Here

(L’viv, Ukraine)

I can look down at life,

I can forget about me & look down on this city of L’viv,

I begin to realize how small I am & how much I need the Lord,

I pray for the city down below and what it needs to receive.

From way up here,

I begin to feel so small,

Almost as if, “How Do I Matter At All?”,

I look out, up, down, as out to the Lord I call.

From way up here,

On this giant clock tower,

I wait upon time to pass,

As the loud sound resounds at the hour.

From way up here,

I breathe deeply, exhale in and out,

I begin to see the beauty of God’s created creation,

How he marvels out upon high, on his throne, at every Nation.

From way up here,

I couldn’t imagine being the Father,

Gazing upon all my son’s & my daughter’s,

So many don’t know me; Yet my love is so thick that the whole Earth it covers.

From way up here,

Even though I am one voice it matters & he’s called me to pray,

To act in audacious faith & to obey,

So I call out victory over this city as the Lord’s & believe in my heart Freedom could be theirs.

From Way Up Here.
