Training camp was one of the most intense weeks of my life and I loved every second of it. I loved trying new foods, I loved being challenged in new ways, I loved being adventurous. But most of all I loved seeing the Holy Spirit at work in my life and the lives of my squad. Going into day 1 you could have classified us as strangers and by the end of the week we came out family.

A little note on my squad (the people I’ll be with for the next 11 months): They are freaking awesome. No joke, I am so pumped to be able to do life with these amazing people this next year. The friendship that was built in the short time this week was incredible and it can only go deeper from here.

Training camp also gave me a lot of insight on what this next year could bring. Each day we were given a different sleeping scenario. This taught me to be flexible with what I am given. Each day we tried new foods. Sometimes I didn’t even know what I was eating but it taught me to be thankful for what I was given. Each day we were challenged, whether that is spiritual or physical. This taught me how important it is to grow into who God is making you to be.

I experienced so many new things that week and it was always an exciting adventure. I feel unprepared for what is to come but I have learned that is the best way to do it. Go all in and let God do His work in you, roll with punches and always be up for an adventure.
