Yesterday all the logistical, team leaders, and finacial people landed in Washington DC for some preliminary training. I can't even describe the feeling of sitting in an airport alone after a 1 1/2 weeks of good bye after goodbye and then baam no one. I had a layover in Chicago and as the plane was boarding I saw one of my teammates. BEST FEELING EVER! We kept saying back and forth the whole way to Dulles airport "i'm so glad you're here" (just something about not having to do it alone anymore).

Went thru finiance training (fyi I'm in charge of the budget), some worship, had sandwiches 3 meals in a row (sandwich game anyone?), and took everything up until this point in.  oh and I think my feet like to find random holes past 30 hrs fallen in 3. Can't be a good sign. Then we waited for the 30+ more people to show up from our squad today.

Just imagine 30+ people going navigating the public transportation of Washington DC: Bus, metro, Bus with 50 lb packs and 20 lb day packs. Such troopers. So glad to see this mob get off the bus.  (there will be some purging of material things very very soon) no way will I be carrying that for 11 months. Just sayin.

BUT all my family is here! Decible level just increased.

We WIll be camping at this awesome theological seminary in Virginia until we land in Niarbi Kenya Sunday Morning bright eyed and ready to set the World on Fire for Jesus.

I have a feeling I'll have a break down at some point about all the amazing people I left back home and everything that entails. But right now I'll ride this little high of my family getting here.

Resting in the peace the RIver of Life gives.

…..I just really like rivers….
