My week of team changes, 51 hours of travel, and jet lag recovery is officially over.

My team leader Kevin Buzzie was raised up as one of the Squad Leaders and I was moved to an all girls team with five other girls. This will be really good and I'm excited to see all the God has in store for us for the next 8 months. These women are awesome and I'm with the other nurse (Laura Williams) so we can nurse chat. Score? I think so. It's weird sleeping in a room without my previous teammates (Adrea, Jenny, and Leah) but thankfully we are still on the same ministry site in Manila, Philippines at Kids International Ministries (www.Kidsinternationalministries.org). Our contact has been here for 20 years and has been the host for multiple short term/long term teams as well as multiple previous world racers a true visionary that puts God dreams into action. I'm excited to be under his leadership and to help impact the community in multiple ways. This month we have the option of choosing between multiple different ministry settings and it looks like I might be able to put my nursing education into practice teaching pregnant teens and checking up on infants. I will also be working with street kids, help in a children’s home, construction work, play some soccer and basketball, and I might just try my hand at helping a dentist. I'll be hot and busy this month and its good.

Please continue to pray for Thailand and the flooding that was seen from the airplane landing into Bangkok for our lay over. Pray we are able to go back and help rebuild. Pray families make it to safety. Pray God would be glorified in spite of all that is happening.

Pray for continued strength and vision for myself. That these team changes would be a good thing throughout the squad and we would be able to strengthen and encourage each other daily. That we would go deep with one another and not hold anything back. That squad wide we would be united in love to further the kingdom of God. Pray for continued financial support. I have 3 months (Feb 1st)  to raise $4100 before I get sent home and that's just not an option. (Support me link to the left for details on helping with that). I'm also looking for a few trust worthy people who might consider selling Threads of Hope bracelets for me to help fundraise. To help me and also the street boys that make them. email me for more details [email protected]

Much love,
Megs
