I leave Ohio in 3 days. In 6 days I will be flying to Pretoria, South Africa to work with an organization called BEAM Africa whose mission is to serve vulnerable and orphaned children. It feels surreal to say that. I have been anticipating this moment for almost a year and as I sit here writing this, an abundance of emotions surface. I’m excited, scared, overwhelmed, sad, and anxious. But I am ready. I am ready to make a difference in the world and be used by God to further His kingdom. I have no clue what this year is going to bring, but I know I am made for this.
I believe the World Race is about revival. I was recently at a church in Memphis where the pastor shared a passage from Luke 10 that discussed the sending of seventy-two people into the world. Jesus sent them two by two and said,
“Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.”
The World Race is calling young people from all over the country to join together and let the Lord send us and take action for Him. My whole squad is in this together like lambs, knowing in faith that God will change this world. And I’m learning it is not only about the people being sent on the journey; it is about all of us. All of us can make a change in the world and be renewed in our journey with the Lord.
This past weekend was an awesome reminder of the amazing support system I have. I had the chance to see old friends, new friends, college roommates, mentors, and family members. I felt so loved and supported by the amount of people who made an effort to see me and encourage me before I start this new chapter of my life. I came to the realization that God is doing HUGE things right here too. God is using you; right where you are and asking you to join this revival. The World Race may not be something you are able to do, but that does not mean God is not using you to change the world. We must join forces in whatever walk of life we are in to bring the truth, hope and love of Jesus Christ. My personal prayer for this year is that I am revived by the Holy Spirit and set free completely in Christ. My prayers for you all who are reading this is that you will choose daily to be a part of this revival and let God use you where you are. I pray you will join my team, my squad, and the World Race movement. We have to be in this together if we are going to bring revival to the nations.
How can you practically be a part of this? I am asking you to partner with me in prayer. Pray for my squad, that God will use us in big ways to bring renewed hope to people all over the world. Pray for yourself, that God will use you right where you are to make big differences. Pray that God shines His light in every situation. And finally, pray about supporting me financially in my endeavor to change the world. I am blown away by the amount of financial support I have already received, but I cannot complete this journey without you. I know in faith that God is about to do miraculous things and I so badly want you to be a part of it with me. Please join me.
