I have been learning so much here in Ethiopia, it’s hard for me to even process it. God is showing up in ways I don’t even realize. I’m realizing there is more to life here on this earth than I could ever imagine… More than selfish desires…More than money…More than food…More than insecurities…More than my own security…
God is breathing life back into me. He is showing this to me through all of the amazing people I have met here in Ethiopia. We have been working with a ministry called Win Souls for God, where we outreach to people living on the streets. They have a center where boys and men are taken in and rehabilitated and given opportunities they could not have had on the streets. The people who live here are amazing because they have so much faith in God and believe in His power. Being friends with them has been so amazing and I am learning how to love through them. They get it. Jesus has radically changed their lives and now they are passionate about sharing that with others. I have come into this city to bless the people here but they are changing my life. I want to radically live for Jesus and I want passion that extends out to everyone I come into contact with.
Jesus is the reason there is more to life because Jesus changes lives. Jesus has changed my life and when my little brain starts to understand the implications of that, all of the earthly desires fade away. I am learning that Jesus is all I need and He wants to use me to love the people here in Ethiopia. We are called to more and that is overwhelmingly beautiful.
