Ok so let me see where do I begin. Well how bout the journey;  4 cities 2 countries one 3 hour bus ride. I left my home town of Great Falls Montana 9am Saturday May 29th flew to Minneapolis to then get on another plane to Boston! Got to Boston a little before 5pm and then sat around for an hour waiting for my friend Mike to come n get me (it’s ok Mike I forgive you)! Then it was off to explore a little bit o’ down town Boston, a city I will be visiting again, and then up to his beach house on Plum beach to lay on the beach at watch the stars! Absolutely beautiful, a wonderful way to spend my last few hours in America!

Round 2am Mike dropped me off at the airport and I met up with my wonderful I-Squad, after aimlessly looking for them in the wrong terminal (come on what air port has TWO B Terminals!?) They found me though and then it was on to long awaited hello’s and hugs. Slept a little in the airport then off to Huston we went to catch our flight to Guatemala! And on a side note if anyone offers you a burger in a bag that has clearly been microwaved, don’t eat it, just don’t.

Fast forward through sleeping on flights to a 3 hour bus ride out of Guatemala city up the mountains to a beautiful town Panajahen on lake Atitland, also beautiful! It’s green and lush and surrounded by mountains and waterfalls! And the best part is we are staying in a hotel! WoooHoooo running water, warmish showers, beds, even though I opted to sleep in the sleeping bag on top of the bed, and we even have a TV, if only I knew Spanish. We are only here for a week of training though, then off to where ever else we go, I’d tell you but it’s a secret, joking, I have no idea where we go next!

The town is a touristy town so there is a lot of street action, markets and vendors. However it is eye opening seeing little children on the street trying to sell you trinkets and hair bands. It’s amazing how different the world is. We have already had some great praise and worship sessions and God is working in this squad and I’m so excited to see how he will use us! I can’t wait to grow closer to my savior and see what he will do through me! Cuz that’s what it’s all about!

Only One Life Will Soon be Past only What’s Done For Christ Will Last.

So simple so true and yet so easy to forget……
