Four weeks into the Fellowship! Can you believe it?

Georgia has been good to me, full of southern charm, sweet tea, and trees on trees on trees. There are magical places like Kroger, Hobby Lobby, and Waffle House. As well as the lovely encounters with the local wildlife on the way to work, both off the road and… on it.

The Adventures office is great too. I was placed in the Worship Department and I have been working with my overseer, Arden, to develop curriculum for the training programs here. I get to use all my skills in worship leading too, as we have staff-wide worship on Monday mornings. But one of my biggest excitements is teaching lessons about leadership and spiritual disciplines to the apprentices here. Dream come true!

Along with worship, I’ve been working with a guy called Neil. He teaches workshops on personality and calling. I have been shadowing Neil and learning from the way he facilitates a training session, as well as offering up my insight on his own curriculum for his classes. He has so many resources and he has given me a lot of awesome books to read.

I guess you could call me a “Trellow” (triple-Fellow), because the third person I work with is Joe Bunting(look him up!). Joe is a writer and self-promoter, who has written books with Adventures’ founder, Seth Barnes, and runs his own company to help writers become better writers. How perfect for me! He has been helping develop some skills in being able to develop a website, so I can publicize my material and my passions. Every Thursday, I get to visit his office in Atlanta and learn more about the writing industry! Yay!

It’s been amazing to see how all these different departments come together to help me build the skills to live out my dream. I get to teach and develop curriculum in the Worship Department with Arden, learn about personality and identity training with Neil, and build writing and entrepreneurial skills with Joe!

This week I fine-tuned my calling statement with Neil and I thought it would be good to share it with all of you. My calling is “to empower believers into self-awareness and fulfillment in Christ through writing and teaching.”

God is so faithful in placing me right where I need to equip myself for the calling He has placed in me. He has surrounded me with incredible leaders to develop me professionally and an awesome community to grow me spiritually. He’s even given me an apartment with a tennis court so I can practice!

I can’t wait to see how the Lord is going to work out my calling through my time here at the Fellowship. I so appreciate your prayers as I continue to learn and develop the skills and experience I need. Thank you all!
