First off – THANK YOU for visiting my blogging page.
Second off – I am completely in awe of my Jesus more and more. I cannot believe this amazing opportunity that He has opened up for me to serve in. He has led me to this Race, I am sure of it. It has been a beautiful journey over the past months, but I will share more of that in the next blog.
Lastly- ABOUT ME…hesitantly.
I feel like “About Me” sections are so important. They let you know so much about a person- maybe one you are praying for and one you are supporting on this journey. “About Me’s” always tell a lot of a person depending on whether you know them or not because of what they choose to share. I hesitate however, because I strive to continually tell myself that it is not about me at all. I believe that with all my heart. One of my favorite verses is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” So really, it’s {not} about me.
But I will share what Christ has done in me and how He has blessed me so abundantly! π
I was so blessed to grow up in a family who loves the Lord. What mercy the Father has given me. When I was ten years old, I gave me life to Jesus Christ- making the commitment to lay me down and give Him my life, making Him the Lord over my life. What an incredible journey since that day. There have been many mountain top moments in my life, many valleys and dark days, and many quite in the middle.
I am currently finishing up my bachelor’s degree at Dallas Baptist University and will graduate in May – SEVEN WEEKS! π I am studying Christian Studies and have learned SO much! I serve at my church on staff as the Student Ministry Assistant and so dearly love my students and church staff. It has been a grand blessing.
God has given me big passions for student ministry, missions, and camp ministry. My heart is to serve Him in ministry with my life, in whatever door He leads me to serve in. So, I don’t have a five year plan, a plan after this Race, or even a set plan for tomorrow. But praise the Lamb, I know who does and I strive daily to seek after Him, trusting that He is always leading me. π
I really enjoy the outdoors a lot, I love “hanging out” in my hammock, I love camp, I love missions, I love serving and loving people well, I love meeting new people, I love to laugh, I love coffee, I love sunshine and flowers, I love spending time with my awesome family and friends, I love being in the Word and deep conversations, I love music, I love traveling, I love life.
SO – in these jumbled words, basically – It’s not about me, but am continually amazed at the One that it is! Thanks for caring and loving me well. Below are some pictures of my life.
