I can’t explain it but I love China. I love these people! I
love this city!

It doesn’t make sense, but then God never does.  I never had a huge
interest in China, I really wasn’t that excited to come to be honest. I thought
it was cool that it was on our route and that I would be able to see the Great
Wall but that was about it. Then….

God took the lead.

I find my heart filled with love, compassion, and an urgency
to share and love the people in this city. They are some of the most beautiful
people I’ve seen and met. SERIOUSLY!

They are made in the image of God and they
display a part of his beauty that I haven’t seen before. I almost feel that God
spent some extra time perfecting and designing his children here.

There are
many different cultures here, it is kind of a melting pot in China. You have
some Tibetan families, Mongolians, Han, Persian Muslims, some American, and a
few others. It is a beautiful display of heaven and God’s glory and beauty.

God has something special for this city.
For these people.

As we sat today overlooking the city God spoke of His
promises for this city

For it’s redemption.
For the miracles that are in store.
For His movement.
For the rising of his disciples.

God spoke.

I surround my children.
I am here.
I am working.
I have plans.
Listen to my voice and follow me.
I have people for you to meet.
I have prayers to be prayed.
I am here.
I surround you.
Feel the breeze that sweeps over you, this breeze sweeps through the entire
city.
No crack is left unnoticed.
I know this city.
My presence is HERE.
My presence fills this place.
I am here.

Yes He is. God is in this city. If you look around at the
people, the temples, and practices, it may not look like it BUT God is in it
all. God is present. God has something special for this city. God has something
special for China.

I love China….who knew???
