Preparing for the World Race has continued to surprise me over and over again. I have often thought you have to have to crazy testimony in order to connect and touch people lives, but that is not true at all! I am learning how important my story is and how it connects and intertwines with other peoples stories. I have one story of how God has shown me this just recently.

About a month ago I received an e-mail from a girl my age I did not know who had stumbled upon my blog about my journey to the World Race. As I read further down the e-mail she began to tell me her story about how she had been planning to pursue a physical therapy degree, but her heart was restless and she didn’t feel like thats where God wanted her. She had been thinking about applying for the World Race, but was uncertain about it. My jaw dropped as I continued to read her e-mail because our stories where so similar. I e-mailed her back and asked her if we could Skype and get to know each other.

About a week later this girl and I Skyped for close to 2 hours. I listened to her story and encouraged her to apply for the World Race. It was amazing how a simple blog connected to complete strangers because we shared similar stories. A few weeks later I found out she is going on the World Race in January! I am so excited for her!

Never under estimate the power or worth of your story because you never know how God can use it to touch other lives! Everyones story is important and needs to be shared!
