Healing, miracles, and God answering our impossible audacious prayers have all been apart of my month in Botswana. This month was asked the Lord month for my team and I, so we began to ask the Lord back in Cambodia where he wanted us to serve and in what capacity. Our organization gave us the opportunity to serve in either Botswana or Namibia. As we asked the Lord where he wanted us to go we got both countries! Our organization told us we could go to both countries as long as we did not go over the budget that was given to us. My team and I where so excited to see what God had in store for us this month.
My team and I made a list of ten impossible prayers that could only happen if Jesus provided a miracle. One of the impossible prayers was to find a contact in another country. We met an amazing man of God in Malaysia at a church called Kingdomcity named Abel and he told us he was from Botswana. Abel has a huge heart from street ministry and evangelism and he told us story after story how he has seen God has answered his impossible audacious prayers. Abel gave us the contact information of the pastor for a brand new Kingdomcity church plant in Botswana. My team and I celebrated because God had provided a contact in Africa while we where Asia. We hoped and prayed that we would have the opportunity to work with Kingdomcity in Botswana.
We arrived in Botswana and God again answered our prayers and gave us the amazing opportunity to partner with Kingdomcity Gaborone in Botswana. The minute we arrived in Gaborone the people at the church became our family. We laughed, worshipped, served and did life together. It felt like we where at home. Some of the ministry we did with the church included inviting people to their very first service at their new facility, praying for people at the hospital, evangelizing to people on the streets, and visiting a village and praying for families facing difficult situations. We saw God show up in big ways during ministry. We saw the church grow from 50 people to over 100 in just 2 weeks. I prayed for a lady at the hospital who was in so much pain that she couldn’t even walk to after praying for healing she was pain free standing up worshipping Jesus. I had the opportunity to lead people to Christ for the very first time. I saw a man turn away from his alcohol and turn back to Jesus. None of these things happened because of my team and I, but because God allowed us to be his vessels to spread His glory and name across Botswana. I am so thankful God used my team and I in this capacity to further His kingdom in Gaborone.
My team and I felt The Lord calling us to Namibia after serving in Botswana for two weeks, but our budget was looking like we weren’t going to be able to make it. My team and I where all disappointed and discouraged, but we knew whatever the Lord had in store was going to be good. We contacted our host in Namibia and told him we would not be able to come because we where going to exceed our budget. My team and I coped with the fact that we were not going to Namibia and were thankful God had given us more time with our Kingdomcity Botswana family. A few days later we got an email from our host in Namibia saying people at his church could provide us with free housing and some meals. My jaw dropped as I read this email because God had provided a miracle for us! I now sit on the bus on the way to Namibia still in awe of how much our God loves to answer our impossible audacious prayers. I am so excited to see what God has in store for Namibia!
