So I’m always excited about the race, and I have about a million different reasons.
In the past few weeks, God has been really challenging a lot of my close friends, and many of them have been going through really hard seasons. While this is hard for me to watch, I can see the Lord moving so much, and he has given me the opportunity to join with so many people these last few weeks in brokenness, consequences of sin, growth, questions, boldness and obedience. THIS is what I’m looking forward to most on the race.
I love people. I love being with people. Most of all, I love when people share their heart with me. As an externally processing introvert, I thrive off of deep and meaningful conversations, especially when they revolve around Jesus.
Whether this means entering into someone’s brokenness and showing them how sovereign and healing our God is, or celebrating with someone as they experience God’s glory and righteousness, I love vulnerability. I love to know what God is doing in peoples lives, I love to see how he purposes things, and how he brings beauty out of ashes. I love being a part of the process and I love that the end result is always glorifying to our Lord and Savior.
So today, I’m super excited to do that in 11 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES! I absolutely cannot wait to minister to people of eleven different cultures. I can’t wait to watch the Lord shake language barriers and allow community regardless. I can’t wait for vulnerability amongst my teammates and long conversations about how great our God is, our challenges, and our weaknesses. I can’t wait to bring the good news to people who are hurting. There is nothing better.
Today, I am very, very excited:)
