So I feel like I blog a lot about the hard things concerning the World Race. Why is it that challenges (and the ways that God helps us overcome them) is easier to write about?

Anyways, today I wanted to write about just how GOOD the Lord is. God has blessed me so much through this fundraising process. I am officially 75% funded for the World Race, and will be fully funded when future monthly donations come in!! (If you still want to help send me on the race- you still can! I am currently fundraising money for vaccines and other expenses!).

I am absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of friends, family and even acquaintances. I never expected that so many people would want to join me in this journey, and it has brought me so, so much joy.

When I first set out on this whole fundraising thing, I was wary and, honestly, dreading it. I heard the Lord say very clearly to me “Do not worry about the money.” God truly does not bring us into places that he cannot carry us through. Not only has God taken care of the money through my generous supporters, but has taught me so much through the process. I have felt affirmed in my calling, but have also been able to see God working in others through their calling. It is so cool to me that while he has planted in me a desire to travel overseas, but not the resources to do so, he has planted others here in the United States, with passions for jobs that provide income,   which  my supporters have been willing to use to launch me into missions. It is an amazing example of the Body of Christ working together!

Beyond financial support, I am overwhelmed by the amount of people interested in what I’m doing. People who have read my blogs, and people who have offered prayer for me over the next year. God has lavished me with love and support that I know will sustain me through 2015. He is, after all, a good good father.

( if you haven’t heart that song. You should probably go listen to it. Now would be good.

All in all, God used a process that I dreaded to show me his goodness, and the ways that he uses everyone. I have felt the love of Christ through my supporters. Through their willingness to stand beside me through financial provision or prayer. It makes me want to tell everyone I know “Hey, I support you and what God has called you to do.” Because that’s God. That’s being the body of Christ. All standing together, sharing what we have, everyone using the gifts and talents God has given them to reach the ultimate goal of establishing God’s kingdom on Earth. Even though I physically need the support of others through finances and fundraising…we all need that support and togetherness to complete our callings well.

Ok. Done Rambling. Have an amazing Friday and a happy weekend!!!
