I started this blog on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving this year looked a little different. I was not surrounded by the usual food or my family. Instead, we celebrated at Glory Christian School in Costa Rica. We were able to share a meal with some of the students and their families. During this time I realized how blessed I have been in my life and especially, recently. I am so thankful for so many things, so here are 11 things I am thankful for.

1. My family- they are very important to me. They are crazy, fun and most of all supportive. They are always there for me and I love them very much! Thank you!
2. My team- They are my family out here on the field. They support me and push me to be better everyday. We have so much fun together and I couldn’t have picked a better team for myself. Thank you!
3. My Costa Rican family- They invited me into their home 2 nights a week to help their daughter with English. They took such great care of me during last month, especially when I was sick. They truely gave me a chance to experience the culture. Thank you!
4. God’s plan for me- I may not know what He has in store for me next, but I know it’s going to be great. Whatever He has for me, that is what I want.

5. Squad Leaders- Laura and Amanda. These two are great women of God. They know what to say to help a situation. They call us out and speak truth into us. They are amazing! Thank you both!
6. My supporters- None of this would be possible without you guys. You have read my blogs, prayed for me, helped me reach my financial deadlines. You have touched and changed my life and given me the ability to touch the lives of many others. I can’t put to words how much you mean to me! Thank you!

7. The hosts I have had in each county- In each country we partner with a host, who helps us minister to the people of the country. Sometimes they are locals and sometimes they are from America. Either way they are such a blessing. They help us learn the culture, what is appropriate and what isn’t. They help translate. And they have always taken us under their wing and truely cared for us. Thank you to each of you!
8. Opportunities- I can’t begin to count the ways in which I have been blessed. A few examples are being born in the USA, the ability to go to school, being able to buy groceries for more than one day at a time, cars, warm showers, security, a childhood, loving parents, a comfy bed, and an excessive amount of clothes.

9.My past- The good, the bad, and the ugly. It has lead me to where I am right now. It has taught me lessons I couldn’t have learned otherwise. And I wouldn’t change any of it because, it is all part of God’s plan for me!

10. Adventures in Missions- These are the people behind the scenes. They make sure we have plane tickets, places to go, our major needs are met and so much more. They make the World Race happen. Thanks guys!

11. Our coaches- Phil and Ruth. They are an amazing couple and example of what a relationship based in God can be. They opened their mailbox to Christmas cards for our entire squad and brought them to Thailand for us. They encourage us and pray for us everyday. Thank you guys!
