The Father has been teaching me about radical obedience.

What does it mean to radically obey the Lord?
What does it look like to radically obey His will?

"What if I called you to glorify Me through homelessness?"
That's an actual question the Lord asked me the other day, and it pierced my heart in ways I've never experienced before.
It drew out emotions I didn't even realize I had.
The point of it wasn't actually the Lord calling me to homelessness. He was asking me a simple question that He really asks all of us in different ways. The question is…

"ARE YOU WILLING?"

Am I willing to follow the will of the Lord, regardless of my own feelings and opinions?

Because radical obedience to the will of the Father means never second guessing Him.
It means I hear Him clearly as His daughter, and I IMMEDIATELY respond with "yes" and "amen" when He speaks.

God told Joshua to "arise and go" when He commissioned him (Joshua 1:2). The Lord told him to ONLY be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:6-7), and that's exactly what Joshua did.
He never questioned the Lord.
He didn't allow the enemy to distract him.
He radically obeyed the will of His Father.

That's my prayer for my life–for all of our lives. That we would be marked by RADICAL OBEDIENCE to our Father. That we will "arise and go" when He speaks. That we would ONLY act in strength and courage. That we would trust that our Father loves us with an everlasting love. That we would recognize and believe that He only speaks Truth, being confident that we hear clearly from our Father, and that He doesn't toss ideas around flippantly.
He is SERIOUS about His children and His Kingdom, so when He says "move," He means it!

May we all possess the spirit of Joshua, with strength and courage that CAUSES the Lord's people to come running into the inheritance the Lord has already promised them.

"Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them." –Joshua 1:6
