Hello friends and family,
This is both a chaotic and a hopeful time of year, is it not?
Recently my life has felt like total chaos. I have achilles tendonitis in BOTH of my ankles. I have been unsettled at work and recentlly applied for a new job. I was offered the position and have been wading through that decision. I have also been thinking about moving home with my mom to save money to put toward the World Race.
What is the World Race? I am glad you asked. Some of you know that this idea began in my heart this summer. I have been thinking and praying about this idea quite a bit and here I am. Oh, and here YOU are, reading my blog. By the way, thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Anyway, the Word Race is a misson trip to 11 different countries in 11 months. I am signed up to begin in July of 2015. The countries I am planning to visit are Albania, Romania, Malawi, Zambia, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Bolivia. During that 11 month period I would travel with a team of about 50 people and then break up into a smaller team to serve within the country. My team and I would partner with a local church within the country and help them with whatever they need. Just a couple of examples of what we will be doing is working in orphanages or working with victims of sex trafficking. That is just a brief description of the trip. Check out the video on the World Race homepage for a better understanding of the trip. All that to say is that I am starting the fundraising process. I need to raise all my own funding for trip and that cost will total over 17,000 dollas. Gulp. I know that is a lot of money.
Life is total chaos for me right now. Maybe it feels that way for you too. God is the calm in our chaos. I feel called to be part of this adventure and to help people around the world. Will you help make this trip a possibility for me?
