Wow! We’re over halfway done with the World Race. It’s so hard to believe that my squad has reached this milestone that felt so far away. I remember all the way back in Honduras during the Awakening, we thought the two squads who were both 4 months and 11 months finished were so amazing and so incredibly wise. And now we’re between those months, about to start our 7th month.
I honestly had no idea what to write about when faced with this incredible moment. How could I possibly sum up the last 5 1/2 months in one simple blog?
I figured I would do the next best thing. I made a video about it.
We’ve come a long way since the days of Training Camp (boy, does that feel like a lifetime ago). We’ve been places we probably had no clue we would ever see aside from pictures on Pinterest. We’ve met people with whom bonds have grown. Our hearts have been touched and broken by what we’ve seen, what we’ve experienced.
And now, thinking over the next 5 1/2 months, I’m just so excited! I want to just run into the next months and see what God has in store for me, my team, and especially my squad.
So, here’s to us! Let’s make the next half of the Race a darn good one.
