We said good-bye to Diriamba only two days ago. We said good-bye to the dump and to the people that changed our lives and opened our eyes. The Lord was so good to us during our month in Nicaragua. Now, we are preparing for our journey to Peru.
I wanted to share with you the faces and sights of the people who live and work in the trash heap. The people that most of the world has forgotten will forever be etched in my heart and mind.
He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people!
