I'm a little behind on my posts, but there is something so important I need to share and ask of you all that I can't wait. I've been working on one blog from Nicaragua for the past 2 weeks, but I'm still in the midst of soaking up the significance of the lesson God was teaching me last month. So, that will be coming soon. Until then, I would like to share with you all a story about a Romanian woman and her daughter.

Her name is Clara. She is actually the biological aunt of Florina, but Florina's mom died several years ago of breast cancer, leaving her in the care of Clara. A few months ago Clara and Florina came to be a part of the church family we are living with this month in Pitesti, Romania.

Clara gave up everything when she committed to being a mom to Florina, her job in Italy, her health, finances and more. But, Clara wouldn't trade Florina for anything and she has fought for them to stay together.

Recently, Clara has been in and out of the hospital, so she hasn't been able to hold a job. She somehow always finds a way to feed Florina even if that means she doesn't get to eat herself, which is another reason why her health is detiriorating so quickly.

Debt has been building up and Clara has no way to pay off the $3,000 she owes for rent. At the beginning of this week it looked like Clara and Florina would be evicted at the end of this month, but through God's mercy, He made the impossible happen. Their landlord has given them a year to pay off the debt while they continue living there. They just need to sell there current one-room apartment and find a smaller one-room apartment, which looks difficult, but God's been providing so far and He will continue to do so.

On top of all this, Clara was brought to the hospital again this past week and she is still there. She hasn't been able to buy the medicine for her diabetes for a while now, because when she did receive money she would use it to buy Florina food. So now she is in the hospital with breathing and heart complications.

The pastor of the church here and his family have taken in Florina and at every meal time we go to the hospital to bring Clara food. Christina has made a special connection with Clara and has been so faithful and diligent about seeing Clara at least once a day, which has helped Clara emotionally as she is battling symptoms of depression, as well.

I don't share all of this to be a debbie downer. I felt such a need to write this because of how desperate and impossible this situation seems. I can't imagine how this can turn around and have a positive ending where Clara and Florina are reunited and living with food and without the fear of ending up on the streets.

BUT, that's where God comes in. Just as we saw this week with the landlord giving the year-long extension. I so often put God in a box. I pray for small things like healing someone's fever and cough, but God wants us to pray for the BIG, the IMPOSSIBLE! That's when He can show up and show off. Our Father is powerful, sovereign…He created the universe in 7 days. What then could possibly be out of His control?

In 1 Kings 18, Elijah asks God to send down fire from the heavens to light an altar of wood soaked in water. He asks for what seems to be the impossible and God comes through and licks up even the water.

Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O Lord(AB)God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that (AC)you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that (AD)I have done all these things at your word.37 Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” 38 (AE)Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, (AF)“The Lord, he is God; the Lord, he is God.”

Just as Elijah prayed BIG and impossible prayers, I'm asking you all to join with me, my team and my squad to pray for what to the world looks like an impossible situation.

I keep hearing the Lord say, "Meagan, what you see as impossible, I not only see as possible, but probable."

I challenge you all to pray intentionally and specifically, then stand back and watch the Lord move.

There is so much more to Clara and Florina's story that I want you all to know, but for now I only have time to share this part. If you want the full story, you can email me ([email protected]) and I can send you it.

I can't wait to share more of my heart and what the Lord's been teaching me these past few weeks. Also, there's been some big changes, other than being in a new country and new continent, hearing a new language, I'm also on a new team and I've been raised up as a team leader of Ohana Lokahi. So, until I get a new post up and a photo of my new team, check them out at their own blogs — Krystyna Szymczuk, Christina Dombrowsky, Miranda Brinsa, Mary Middleton and Kylee Taylor. Please keep each of us and our team in your prayers, as well!

I've promised myself to post a photo with every blog, so here's a random photo 🙂 A shout out to my daddy and family, I miss you all, but I'm excited for all that's happening in y'alls lives and I know you're excited for this journey I'm on.
