On Wednesday we started our routine that we will keep for the remainder of our month here:

Monday-Wednesday: Projects on property
Thursday: Infa
Friday: Taking it to the streets and mall time 🙂
Saturday: Visiting different colonies in the surrounding areas

Each team has a different project to do on the Zion's Gate property. Tony's ministry has only been on this property for a year and when he arrived it looked like a wild forest had taken over the old club. So it is our squad's pleasure to be able to give back to Tony and the boys who live here, by building gardens, painting walls, clearing out the brush…anything to make the property reflect the joy and beauty of Zion's Gate ministry

My team is partnered with Eddie's team (link to blog), and we are working on the front of the property that is seen from the street. It is overgrown with weeds, wild plants and grass. Talk about hard labor: we spent the entire day Wednesday taking hoes, pick-axes and machetes to the area. Although I couldn't journal that night because my hands weren't able to hold a pen, it was an incredibly satisfying day of work.

Our very own Mary tilling the land.

Then on Thursday we went to Infa, which is a school that houses young girls, elementary to high school. We spent our few hours there sharing testimonies, worshipping, painting nails, braiding hair and just loving on the girls.

Today we are going out to the streets to simply bring a smile to the faces of those driving in traffic. I know it's going to be so fun because we'll be doing what we do best: spreading Jesus' love and joy while dancing and making a fool out of ourselves on the sides of the streets.

Prayer requests:
• To establish a relationship with one of the girls at Infa and share my story with her.
• To be bold when speaking to people on the street, and love on them.
• To have faith and boldness when visiting the colonies on Saturday, so that we can build relationships with families there and share hope, peace, joy and love that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

PRAISE REPORT:
• I've been getting some killer headaches since I've been here (Mary, my teammate, says it's because I'm reading too much—big surprise 😉 right mom?) Well anyways, I've been prayed over twice for healing and both times, my merciful, gracious heavenly Father HEALED me…..what?! That's never happened to me before, so I was just so stoked to get to share that with you all =)

God is still just as active and powerful as He was when Peter healed the crippled man in Acts 3.
The Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what
I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."
Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up and instantly
the man's feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet
and began to walk.
