Dear Friends,
On December 14th, I wrapped up what has been a very long, but wonderful season of life in college. The journey has had its many challenges…changes of major (again and again), changes in schools, times of stress, and times of rest. I am so thankful to have had the luxury to attend school and such supportive parents to stick with me through all the ups and downs. Now, as graduation is over, the questions are flying in, “What’s next?” For me, the answer is probably not the conventional one.
In July of 2014, I have been given the amazing opportunity to be a part of a program called the World Race. “The Race,” as many call it, is an 11 month Christian, missions program in which I will be traveling to 11 different countries, including areas in South America, Africa, and Asia. While in these countries my team and I will have the opportunity to serve alongside local communities teaching the Gospel, planting churches, working in orphanages, ministering to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bringing hope of the Father’s love to both individual people and nations.
I can’t even imagine how the Lord is going to open my eyes through this journey! There will be many joys and challenges in these upcoming months. One of the first has already presented itself, and that is raising the funds for this mission. The base cost is $15,500. This seems like such an overwhelming number at first glance, but I have a great peace that the Lord will provide this money! One of those ways is through vessels like you. First and foremost, I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers, both as I am raising support and out on the actual Race. Secondly, I would like to extend an invitation to you to financially partner with me in this ministry. You can do this through one time gifts or monthly gifts. To give you a perspective, if just 15 people give monthly donations of $50 for 11 months, I will be over halfway funded.
I have a vision to see places out of my comfort zone and relationally invest in people around the world who are simply longing for something only the Lord can provide. By partnering with me in this mission you can make my vision come true. You also have the opportunity to receive several things:
