I really don’t feel like I’ve had a whole lot of inspiration to write lately, and for anyone who knows me…THIS IS WEIRD. I usually love jotting down the random thoughts that swings around my mind all day, attempting to make some since out of the chaos. It has definitely been a task though. So rather than trying to sting together these last few weeks/transition from Bolivia to Peru, I’m going to try to fix my writer’s block right here. Not too sure how it’s going to turn out, but here we go:

  1. The other day I met this little guy that stole my heart. I’m sure you all think it’s some adorable little Peruvian boy who I met at the VBS we have been hosting. Unfortunately, my 15 minutes in arts and crafts with the kids isn’t a huge amount of time to build any crazy close atachments. On the other hand, an hour and a half of holding a fuzzy furball of joy I like to call Smalls (so I can say “You’re killing me Smalls!!!”) was just enough time for me to fall in love.

  1. I didn’t realize I had so many expectations coming on the race, especially when it came to my relationship with the Lord. I expected to be so insanely close to Him and to hear His voice so distinctly, but that has NOT been the case. It’s been ROCKY! It’s almost like were getting our signals crossed somewhere out there in the void. To be honest, it’s been a little discouraging sometimes, but I have faith and hope that HE IS WORKING. And I’m excited to see what He’s stirring up!

  1. After attempting to sand board last Monday, I’ve decided I want to try to do it professionally. JUST KIDDING. But I actually would like to attempt to learn how to snow board when I get back to the States. Any one want to teach me???

  1. Josh Garrels has been my jam lately! If you haven’t listened to him, consider it (His song “Pilot Me” is below)! Also, Hillsong’s White album and Will Reagan’s Endless Years.

  1. So were currently staying in a school this month in Peru. It’s been an interesting transition. Our whole squad (43 people) is staying there, so it’s presented some new challenges. For example, 1 shower for all 43 of us, and finding alone time is a little more difficult. (I usually go to my tent, which I have set up on the roof!)

  1. I’m starting to get tired of my clothes. There’s only so many combinations you can make, before you start feeling like a cartoon character who never changes. Only 9 more month to go in the same outfits though…. (she said sarcastically)

  1. Praise the Lord for Starbucks and Coffee shops. They may be a 15 minute cab ride away from where we live, slightly more expensive, and they get creative on the name spelling here, but mmmmmm… so good!!!

Well, that’s all I have for now. If you made it through, thanks for listening to my random thoughts of the day!
