Dear Family & Friends,
I am headed off on a new adventure this year and am asking for your support through your prayers. Prayer is so powerful and that is the biggest gift you could bless me with. So please pray for me! I have always felt a call on my heart to go out and mission as the apostles did, to bring the love that I’ve been blessed to experience and share it with our brothers and sisters throughout the world. I am finally following that call and have found a ministry that matches perfectly with my sense of adventure and eagerness to work with people in all walks of life. I will be leaving in October to serve with Adventures in Missions (ADV) on the World Race, an interdenominational missions organization that has sent over 100,000 people into the mission field since 1989. Over the course of 11 months I will be serving in Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Ukraine, Romania, Albania, and Greece. In each country, my team and I will be partnering with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution and human trafficking, and share the Father’s love. I hope that it will lead me to live out my faith more fully in my everyday life back here in the States and give me a better ability to let God use me for His greater good and His greater plan. I cannot wait to go out and be like the disciples of Jesus, away from my home, fighting for our Savior to conquer the world. I am so excited for the possibilities of being a beacon of light to His people and hoping that it will mold me to live more simply with a better ability to incorporate faith into every moment of life. I know that God wants me available 110% and the only way that can be done is if I leave behind my home, the comfortable world and life I have here, the people I love and am used to, and abandon the plans I think best for me and trust in God’s plan for me. I know in my heart that this is God’s plan for me, the next step He wants me to take.
It is required that I raise $16,561 over the course of 11 months. Money is always a factor, but I believe that God’s providence will provide the amount that I need to pay for this journey through those of you that are able to give. It is the first of many challenges I will face this coming year on the World Race. I would truly appreciate the monetary support if you are able, but your prayers are most important for the mission and to have the best chance of bringing the Lord to the people we encounter. I want to thank you for whatever contribution you are able to make. Even the smallest gift is abundant. The support you have given me as long as I have known you is a piece of what has made me into the woman I am. It is why I am here, able to go on a mission trip like this. I want to be a warrior for Christ, so I am bringing His shield (the Word) with me and I am hopeful that we can ignite God’s holy fire, the Holy Spirit, in some of their souls. Your support is the ground on which I stand.
I would truly love for you to be a part of my journey throughout this coming year. I will be using this blog to share my story, adventures, revelations, and God’s blessings. You will be able to follow along with the work that He is doing in our lives and see the power of your prayers at work. I hope that this experience may be a blessing to you as you participate in my journey as well as to the people I will be serving directly. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ and what a beautiful way to be connected to one another.
