I can’t believe that it is already October!! I leave on the 13th for Nashville for a few days to spend time with part of my Squad, before we head to Training Camp!! Training Camp is a 10-day adventure in Gainesville, Georgia. We will be living in tents, taking bucket showers, trying new foods from different cultures that we may experience, put through different scenarios, have to pass a 2.2 mile hike with our pack on, spend time in different ministry and leadership sessions, get to worship God through amazing worship, and grow closer to our squad!!
To say that I am excited and nervous is an understatement!! I have my bags already packed (yes there was a slight nervousness in how is was all going to fit!) and I am so ready for October 13th! It seems like just yesterday I was getting the phone call from Adventures in Missions that I have been accepted.
Something that I have been learning a great deal about during my walk with God is that prayer is power!! I was watching a tv show recently with my sister where the big focus is that family is power. The support of family is power and a great strength for anyone. This has me thinking one night while this can be true; we have an even greater force on our side, the power of prayer. I have seen how powerful bold prayers can be. I have seen prayers of healing come full circle. I have seen prayers of people‘s futures come to pass!
It’s amazing what can happen when we join forces as family; as brothers and sisters in Christ to pray.
Some prayer requests:
-Pray for my time at training camp. Pray for same travels for all of the teams coming in. Pray that God does some open heart surgery, in ways only God can
-Pray for the countries my squad will be going to! Pray for God to already begin softening hearts and minds to be ready for when we come to love them, serve them, and tell them about Jesus!
-Pray for my time these next few months with my family and friends to be blessed and full of wisdom and sweet memories
-Pray for my continued fundraising. I have $13,000 to raise to be fully funded, and I am fully believing and trusting God will provide
