This past week, we had debrief in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This was a time to rest with our team, by ourselves, and with the Lord. We swam in the pool, ate acai bowls, found Reese’s for the first time in four months, and worshipped as a whole squad.

During this time, we also had team changes. Team Kerux had an amazing four months together, but it was time for us to split up so that we can learn from other people and bring the lessons we’ve learned onto our new teams. Kerux, I love you all, and you’ll always be dear to me as my first team.

My new team is better than I could’ve imagined. I am so excited to be on an all-female team. These women are strong and steady, and they’ve already shown me what it looks like to live in healthy community.

Meet Team Bamboo.

Bamboo is a symbol of flexibility, renewal, regeneration, freedom, and rapid growth. These are characteristics we all hope to embody well by the end of our time together.

Klancy
Klancy is wise, the first to give an encouraging word, and so great at building friendships with strangers. She is also a total goof, and we love her for it.

Allie
Allie is a gem. She has a deep desire for intentional, stimulating conversation. She is great at seeking to understand all points of view. She listens well and pushes us towards excellence.

Danielle
Danielle has such a fighting spirit about her. She sticks to her guns and won’t back down in the face of trials. She is quick to be open and allow us into her processing and struggles.

Sara
Sara is utterly devoted to her relationship with God. She is gentle and loves to listen. The questions that she asks shows her desire to better understand each one of us.

Caitlin
Caitlin is a firecracker. She is witty, hilarious, and such a deep thinker. She keeps us on our toes and pushes us out of stagnation.

I am proud to call these women my new teammates and friends.
