Honestly from what I remember about the day I was born is absolutely nothing. But mom says that it was a cold windy spring day in Sringfield Massachusetts on May 1st 2002. We didn’t last long in old New England so we moved down to a nice southern state, Virginia. Growing up I always wanted to see the world. So when I was in middle school and the opportunity came along to go to Guatemala on a mission trip with my parents, I thought to myself “perfect, here I come world”. But what I didn’t expect was to leave a piece of my heart with the people of Guatemala. After a couple trips and missing lots of school days I realized that homeschool would be a better choice for me. Because I felt God calling me to continue going on mission trips.
When I was going to school I would work during holidays, school breaks, and summers with my parents on their construction business. Once I began high school as a homeschooler that gave me more opportunities to work and earn money toward my mission trips. So over the years God has allowed me to go back to Guatemala several times. I’ve had the privilege to do a few mission trips to Moldova, my dads home country. And also God gave me the opportunity to go on a mission trip to South Africa!
This February my parents went on a vision trip to Guatemala and met the gap year racers. When they got back home they told me about the world race. After a few days I started researching and praying about it. The more I prayed, the more I felt called to go. So here I am ready to go where God is leading me. Eswatini, Ethiopia, and Cambodia!
