My name’s Matthew (people sometimes call me Matt). I am a Christmas baby! I turned 18 years old December 25th, 2018. I was raised in New Mexico, but since moving to Texas 5 years ago I have learned to love where I live now and can proudly say I’m a Texan Y’all! I was home schooled most of my life which allowed me to graduate a year early. Coffee flows through my veins as a proud Starbucks barista, but when I’m not making lattes or frappuccinos you will find me on the mat training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at my gym. I love to be silly with my siblings, singing, dancing, or going on spontaneous car rides to who knows where. I love adventure and the thrill one gets going on a roller coaster or bungee jumping. I like to surround myself in nature and the beauty of this world while capturing it through the lens of a camera. Lastly I play acoustic guitar in the worship band at my church and always find joy in being a part of leading the congregation in praise.
In the past few years I have seen God move in incredible ways. In the summer of 2017 I spent time in Germany reaching out to German refugees. This summer I spent a month in East Asia witnessing to a people of a more persecuted society. It was through these past trips that the Father has continued to give me a greater passion for the nations and to answer the call to go!
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19
I can’t even begin to express how I feel as I begin this journey. It starts now as I prepare spiritually, mentally, and financially.
