We have about 4 weeks until we move out of our apartment in Raleigh, NC. 4 WEEKS.

It blows our minds thinking we have almost been here a year. Time flew by!

For those of you who don’t know us yet or those of you who just want an update this blog is for you.

Matt and I got married a little over 2 years ago in Lincolnton, NC. After that we went on our honeymoon (cruise) then we went to work at Shekinah Ranch (a summer horse camp) in PA and then we went to Southeast Asia for 4 months to serve. We came back did camp in PA again and then decided to move to Raleigh, NC, because we not :)?

We have loved it here! This year was really the first year that we experienced “normal marriage”. Previously we were living in another country, had other people living with us, or we were living with other people. We grew A TON in our marriage living here in Raleigh, and we grew so much closer to Jesus a long the way. It’s funny how we think we are “good” in certain areas and then Jesus is like “HA! Y’all don’t even know how much I still have to teach you!” It’s one of the hardest, most beautiful things about following Christ.

Raleigh Favorites/Reflections:

Matthew- 1. This is where Matt discovered his love of Disc Golf and he has become pretty good at it!

2. Sushi Blues, our favorite sushi place!

3. All the friends made through church and jobs.

4. Having our own apartment together.

5. Growth as a Man of the Lord.

Kalyn- 1. Lake Johnson. Oh how I will miss you Lake Johnson. We lived walking distance from a Lake with a 4 mile trail around it. I saw more turtles than I can count. 3 copper heads. lots of birds and slugs. beauty. and had the best prayer walks with Jesus.

2. Living in the same apartment complex with two of our really good friends. We will miss y’all!!

3. ALL THE COFFEE SHOPS, especially Thanks A Latte. You really became my favorite. Nothing like sipping on an Iced Honey Bee Latte while reading the Word or a good book.

4. Yard Sales/Thrift Stores. Raleigh. You really have some winners. If you see me wearing a brand name it’s because I got it at a thrift store in Raleigh.

5. While we loved being here, living the “American Dream” more than we ever have before. We really realized that all we need is Jesus, and to serve Him in the best way we can. Raleigh showed us both that and we are eternally grateful. Our hearts are set to go wherever the Lord calls us!

After we leave Raleigh, we will be bouncing around. Visiting friends in Florida, spending time with family in NC and PA and continuing to prepare for the race.

We have a 10 day training for the race in October that we are pumped about and then we officially leave early January!

Thank you to everyone who has subscribed and made donations so far! We are so thankful to have you on this journey with us!

Love you all!
