For the second time in the last few weeks, our group got to go to a local Christian elementary school and be a part of their devotion in the morning. This is more than your basic reading scripture and teaching about Jesus, this is praising Him in every way possible! Not only are they excited to worship, but they have so much love to give that all they want to do is hug you.
Another incredible part about worship with the children was that it was really GOOD worship…40 minutes worth. These children lift their hands to their heavenly Father and thank Him for their families, their house, each other, and so much more! There is such a genuine quality that they show as they worship, as well as an encouraging example to look to see how we should worship.
Jesus said in Matthew 18:3-4, “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” I think this truth from Christ really shows us how we should live day to day and being able to worship with these children really reminded me of that.
And…one more surprise! We just found out where our ministry for next month will be! We will be in Ometepe, Nicaragua serving at a local orphanage with Team Lovebound! I am so excited for this experience that God is preparing my heart for! Also, thank you everyone for the comments and encouragement…it has meant so much to me! Love all of you!
