It was weird leaving CICRIN a few days ago. It was definitely one of the most emotional experiences so far because it really felt like I was leaving a lot of great friends and family. I remember sitting on the boat that took us back to the mainland and tearing up after leaving. It was cool to see how close a lot of us got to everyone at the orphanage this past month, and it was almost a joy that we were this attached because I really feel like we impacted lives their and made a change and brought some of our culture to share with them that they really appreciated. I sincerely enjoyed my time at the orphanage and am truly going to miss all the kids and staff there.

I am currently in Granada, Nicaragua at debrief, which is a time that we get to relax and catch up with the rest of our squad (60ish people). We also get the chance to talk with our coaches (squad parents really) and our squad leaders about how group dynamics have been going and how ministry has been going as well. It has really been a great time to catch up with old friends and get to know new ones and prepare for our next month.
Speaking of next month, we found out that our ministry is going to be in Panama! I know it’s a change from Costa Rica as we originally planned, but that is an expectation that was laid at the feet of Jesus before we even started the Race. We have to always be willing to change our plans if that is where Christ is calling us to be. Even throughout the race, countries may change depending on ministry contacts and situations within countries, but I know God is sovereign and will lead us where He wants us to be. The ministry we will be doing in Panama will be in jungle and will be indigenous tribes there.
Thanks for the continued prayers and support. I love you all and can’t wait to share with you everything I will be doing next month!
