We hope you enjoy our ministry update video from months 2 and 3! Here are 11 specific ways that God blessed us and our ministry throughout the last two months:
1. Getting to finish our demolition project in Albania before we rerouted
2. Money being raised and logistics working out quickly so that the squad could move to Lesvos, Greece to help volunteer with the refugee transition site
3. Us miraculously receiving energy when we had none left
4. Kristen’s bronchitis starting to get better
5. A mob began to form at the entrance to the camp, but was able to be stopped and calmed
6. Refugees that could translate for us when there is a group of very confused people and our site translators are busy
7. Buses continuing to come to pick up people much later than usual when we had a crowded night
8. Myself and other women on the team feeling like we must have had some really awesome and strong angels behind us when having to give men directions because they followed them (this is very contrary to most refugees’ culture)
9. Getting to pray with multiple families
10. Hearing from a translator who visits all the sites on the island that refugees have been asking about Jesus at the next camp because of the interactions they had with the Christian volunteers at our camp
11. Meeting and being encouraged by other Christian volunteers from around the world. It was beautiful to see the body of Christ working peacefully together to share Christ’s love
It has been so amazing to see God work throughout the last two months!
He has also blessed us in our fundraising throughout this time. We are currently 97% funded with just $879 left to raise before the end of December! If you would like to help us get closer to being fully funded, you can make a tax-deductible donation by clicking here. Should you want to support us on our Go Fund Me page, which will go towards ongoing expenses such as our storage unit back in the states, pet care, and student loans, please click here. We are so grateful for all of the support that we have received already, thank you so much!
We leave for Africa on December 2nd! We will have a few days of training, then the men will go build a roof for a church in Botswana for a week before rejoining the girls in White River, South Africa for Christmas! We are very excited to help throw Christmas parties for orphanages around the area and help our host church, including gardening, painting, and putting on a Christmas play!
Thank you for your prayers and God bless!
