It’s that time of week again – time for an update. I’m currently sitting in the AIM office here in Gainesville, Georgia gearing up for a four-day parade of meetings and strategic planning-type sessions. We’re figuring out how to make this movement more everlasting, more effective, and more powerful. We’ll see what we can do. But here’s my top five for the week:
1. Giving/Getting lots of Food. This past Wednesday we participated in a food drive at Cross Current Church in Port Huron. It was a real exciting day and a lot of fun. In less than a hour we fed over 330 families. One of the biggest blessings that came out of it: we went through the line. So our whole community house now has stocked pantries. Hallelujah!
2. Flying to ATL. Getting on a plane and sitting on a chair in the sky is always a ton of fun, however, it’s not as much fun and the thrill is kind of lost as soon as you land and puke. That’s right – I got sick. I’m better now but I think it’s about time that I go visit the doctor…
3. Seeing old friends. One of the coolest things about AIM is that a lot of people from my past work there. One of my old ‘buddies’ from Youthworks, Jimmy McCarty, is also on staff with the World Race. It’s been over two years since I’ve seen that guy – but we finally got to catch up last night. It was awesome.

5. Matching. This was totally random and unplanned, but I find it to be a humorous part of the day. Andi and I match. We have on the same shirt, same kind of jeans, same kind of bag – even matching folders and pens. I’ll post the picture when I get a camera cord, but it’s just hilarious.
Okay, time for meetings…
