It’s been forever and a day since I last wrote a blog. I think that time has consumed me and just the hustle and bustle of living every day life has clouded my perspective of what’s happening in the blogosphere. I’m slowly embracing the idea that it’s okay to step back and breath from things for a little while. I just need a little change in perspective and priorities.

I thought that I would write a quick update with what’s happening in my end of the world, granted, America is its own end and many people go about the same things. I like to think that my life’s a little different though. Sometimes.

Adventures In Missions. I’m still working for AIM – nothing has changed there. I work for the marketing/mobilization/recruiting/creative/we-do-a-lot-of-things team. I’m essentially a storyteller with a voice that tends to provoke people off of the couch and onto the mission field. Funny how that works. And if I was going to be truthful, I really want to be back out on the mission field for a season. I’m learning more and more that while God’s called me to this season… I don’t belong behind a desk. Hence the reason I love working in coffee shops and not offices. Plus – there’s coffee there – hello.

Ministry partnership. I’m an intensified season of support raising right now. I’m trying to find more people to partner with me in ministry. I only have roughly $275 more a month to raise. That’s not much! If you’re willing to make a monthly commitment of $10, $20, $50, or $100 a month, you can learn more about what partnership looks like and how to do that here.

Georgia on my mind. I flew into Atlanta on Wednesday night to surprise a special someone in Birmingham, only to be surprised by them at the airport! It made for a good time. But I’ve been in Gainesville since Saturday and will be here until the middle of June. The plan is to move down here in the middle of July. There are a few things that I still need to make this transition from Michigan go smoother, if anyone can help:

–    A vehicle. It’s difficult to get around down here without a car. I’m going to need one. So if anyone in the Georgia area has a reliable vehicle (that could make it back and forth to Birmingham and out and back to AIM), that they’re willing to give or sell for cheap, I’d love to talk with you. Shoot me an email: [email protected]
–    The rest of my support. This is a huge need. I’m moving into an apartment down here and will no longer have rent paid for. It was nice while it lasted, haha. I really need the rest of my support to come in so that I can pay rent every month.
–    Insurance. I want to be healthy… and I’d like to find a way to pay for insurance. If anyone’s willing to help out there, that’d be great.

What happened to Bethel? As most of you know, I was planning on going to Bethel’s School of Worship this summer. Unfortunately, I made the very difficult decision last week of not going. I know, I know. It’s tough. But finances were standing in the way and I needed to make the decision of whether I should do that or finish raising the rest of my support. I opted for the rest of my support (it’s a necessity). I’m trusting that God’s opened another door. We’ll see what I can walk through.

All of that to say – I’m still writing and playing lots of music. Writing a lot more lately, actually. I intend on one day putting an EP together, a little demo CD for people to donate and receive. I’m not making promises on a timeframe, but know that there’s the thought of one in the works.

Going anywhere soon? I’m actually praying about that right now. I’ve been presented with some alternative opportunities this summer as far as leading some trips, co-leading, or worship leading is concerned. Ideally I’d like to go back overseas for a little bit. Again – we’ll see. I’ll keep you all in the loop.

These are just a few things to fill you all in on. If you have other questions that you’d like to ask me, please feel free to ask them. I’ll do a follow up blog this week.

**the picture’s from Nashville when I was messing around at the rescue mission one day. I found a box of really random things, including a giant magnifying glass… which I use to magnify my smile. Isn’t it great?**
