In the last few weeks I’ve picked up a lot of new readers, which I think is pretty incredible. So before I ruin my unique reputation for authenticity, honesty, and all of that jazz, I need to preface myself: Friday posts are never anything to be taken seriously.
I realize that earlier in the week I may have taken some, well, freedoms in sharing with you all how I felt about the Swine Flu. For me, it’s just not a large area of concern. And I merely blogged about it because I’m really tired of hearing about it on every news station.
I’m still watching Jack Bauer die. Before my friend Casey starts cursing in my comments section, I just want a chance to explain myself… and it’s simple: Jack Bauer’s going to die. Seriously. If he actually survives this season then we know that Hollywood has truly infiltrated this reality TV show. I mean, it is real… right? And as far as American Idol’s concerned, I cannot believe that I’m still watching this show either. Truth be told, I think the only reason that I watch it is to see to what degree Adam Lambert’s going to creep me out next. America – he’s just weird, yet mesmerizing…

Norman Rockwell. I remember in middle school that I had this fascination with Norman Rockwell and the Saturday Evening Post. I only felt safe expressing this fascination when I was in art class. Apparently they have an exhibit of some of his stuff on display in Detroit, so we’re going to go see it on Saturday. I’m a little excited. I just hope it doesn’t cost $50 to get in to a fancy art museum. And I hope they’re okay with me wearing a tshirt. I haven’t been to an art museum for a few years. Last time I was in one, I took my girlfriend’s little sister (she’s not my girlfriend anymore because now she’s married to an awesome guy… yay for the Lupers!).
I spent $300 at Starbucks. No, seriously. They laughed at me when I told them what I wanted. But it’s all part of this special thing we’re doing starting next week for the World Race. Keep your eyes peeled because, well, you might be able to get in on that action. And, yes, this is my shameless plug for a project I’m working on… and I’m really hoping that you’d consider being a part. There are other free things involved, but you just have to participate to find out.
And that’s my update for this week. Sorry that it’s really random. And, Casey, we can still be friends… right? Maybe we can sit next to each other at Jack’s funeral…
