First off, I apologize for not writing a blog in like forty-seven thousand weeks…maybe a slight exaggeration. But it’s close.

In light of Easter however — the greatest day in history for Christians, the day we celebrate our freedom and pledge our allegiance to the King and his Kingdom, and remove ourselves from all other powers — in light of this radical day, in which there was a cosmic shift in our universe, as Jesus Christ rose from the dead, I humbly submit to you, dear reader, a poem…

Leap from your graves, O man
And sleep not a day more.
For your time has come to live
For life and love and peace.
You have been given new lungs
By a king who died as a criminal.
Covered in blood
Crushed in body
Made new in resurrection.
Your resurrection.

So do not crawl from your tomb.
Tarry not at the entrance
Nor look back to your coffin.
Your legs are meant for running and dancing
So run. And dance.
Sing with your new voice.
Create with your new hands.
Love with your new heart.

The mustard seed has been crushed
And its vine is subtly taking over.
Let the revolution begin.
