Hello to all! Mozambique has been great so far and praise be to the LORD for the opportunities and successes we have accomplished here due to his grace! I hope to do a more complete post of everything in the next couple of days, internet permitting. Until then here is some information about yesterday at the ministry we serve at during the week.
My team of 7, n'pursuit, has been serving at a place called Jacob's Well in Mafambisee, which is a SPRAWLING metropolis of plain mud walled huts and small brick homes. There is no retail or commerical buildings here except for wood hut booths that sale fish, corn and rice and the occasional iced coke. Coca- Cola, fourtuanatly is everywhere here in Mozambique and it reminds me of home everythime I drink one.
Jacob's Well is run by a totally blind man, named Peter, who raises approxitmalty 60 orphans. He is a very kind man who is profoundly respected in Mafambisee and in Dondo. Its kind of amazing how respected he is, he does such good work here. And yesterday he asked me and me teammate Andy if we could teach a "leadership training course" for him to some visitors from northern Mozambique.
We were glad and honored to, even though it was a last minute thing for us, and for the entire morning we taught two young men who were soon to be pastors up north. The lesson really made me feel humbled and respondsible at the same time. We taught these two men from 1 Timothy, Matthew, James, and Hebrews, and even though our lecture was going through Peter, who was our translator, I could tell these men were soaking in every word that we told them. They were taking notes and proclaiming Amen every few minutes. Though much gets lost in translation, two words that are clear in English, Portegese, and Cinna, the local languege here are AMEN and HALLELUJAH. Everyone says these clearly and loudly.
After discipling these men and while eating a lunch of white rice, red beans and water Andy told me what an awesome seed we sowd today in the lives of these men. We both realized that these men would in three days take a train back north to their congreations of 78 and 60 persons and teach practaclly verbatim what we taught them. I can only pray that the LORD will continue to build these men up in his Word so that they can lead His people in the towns they reside in. The LORD makes all seeds grow. It is up to us, as diciples, to scatter generously for his glory so that a harvest of righteousness can be reaped by his power and stregnth.
Brother in Christ,
Matthew

Peter is the man on the right. Completely blind, but guided by the LORD. He is so respected by those that know him. He also knows 8 local langueges as well as English and Portuguese.
