What a last two weeks its been! Three months ago I never thought I would have experienced the emotions, the love, the support, and the tears that the last few days had brought. Saying goodbye to my family, girlfriend, faith family, and friends was harder than I thought. I'm definietly not one to cry, but it did happen a few times before departure.
I am now in a hotel with my world race teammates in Washington Dulles Airport, excited about the great things the LORD has in store for me as we come together and prepare for our departure to different continents. Some will go to South America, us to Africa, while others will fly to East Asia. Its been information overload last night and today as my squad leaders prepare me and my fellow logistics partner Emily for our duties and ministries.
I just want to say thank you to my faith family at Western Heights for such an AWESOME service and luncheon. You all truly made my last fellowship special and the memories of your love and kindness will sustain me for many months to come! Thank you!!
I would not be here awaiting my flight to Mozambique for the glory of Christ's Kingdom if it were not for your love and support. Everyone from Western Heights and Northside Church of Christ has shown me such love, kindness, and support that its has been PROFOUNDLY humbling and inspiring. I love you all and I pray I can make the most of the opportunities the LORD presents to me.
Brother in Christ,
Matthew
