To some of my supporters, you may have thought I fell off the face of the earth after returning home. Well, I promise that isn’t the reasoning behind my lack of post filling you in on where I’m at and where I’m heading next.
This transition back into the States has been exciting, amazing, challenging, and hard all at the same time. I have plugged myself back into my awesome community here at home, went on some closer to home road adventures, spent lots of time with my amazing girlfriend, and filled out countless job applications. On one hand, I have moments where I look around me amazed at how blessed I am. On the other hand, I wake up some mornings hearing that lie that I have no purpose in life to even get out of bed.
It’s easy to miss out on the adventure and opportunity right in front of me when I compare where I’m at to the places I’ve been around the world. Then, I remember that blog I posted in month 11: “Your grass is just as GREEN as mine.”
It’s funny how the Lord uses our own words to later speak to us. It’s true though; there is adventure and opportunity right in front of us where ever we go, rather that be in Africa or Savannah, GA. It really is the same thing: same excitement, same opportunities, and same challenges.
Do I have a job yet?
NO.
Do I still have purpose?
YES.
I may still have a lot of uncertainties about what’s next but there are some certainties. To mention one, there is a reason why I mentioned Savannah, GA earlier. Before the Race I thought the Lord would place a specific country on my heart that He would call me back to, and although my heart lies in many places around the world, that didn’t seem to happen. Way back in month three of the Race the Lord put Savannah, GA on my heart. He revealed to me a need so close to home. What is that need? Women who need to be rescued and made aware of their WORTH. Men, women, and children trapped in homelessness in need of HOPE. Children in need of LOVE. While the Lord was breaking my heart for this cause He was also breaking other hearts. The Lord has formed a team of passionate people, including myself, to bring His Kingdom to earth. There is a start to every dream that the Lord gives us and it starts here…
Right now, there are between 27 and 30 million people that are victims of slavery in the world. According to the U.S. State Department, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year. More than 70% are female and half are children.
In the city of Atlanta, there are hundreds of women being bought and sold for sex every single night. Having been manipulated into thinking they have no worth, these slaves of sex-trafficking are controlled by feelings of desperation and despair. They wear scars of physical and emotional abuse. In Georgia, we know there’s a range from 3600-4000 girls that are trafficked each year into the city of Atlanta. They are forced to sell themselves between eight and 12 times a night. We know that they don’t get the money, and sometimes they are very deprived, sometimes drugged to stay awake so they can perform more. This is where The Give Project comes in.
The Give Project mission is to give, empower, and love people through serving and supporting. We are currently supporting those who are reaching out to cause that we are passionate about (Atlanta Dream Center) by selling products that will raise funds and other needs of the select organization
The city of Savannah is where we feel called to help rescue and restore victims of the sex-trafficking. Right now we do not have the facilities or financial support to open a dream center of our own in Savannah. So for now we feel purposed to reach out and support those who are making a difference. We have connections to in the future raise awareness and financial support for orphanages in Haiti, those without drinkable water in African nations, crisis pregnancy centers, and other organizations giving of themselves.
Every “Life is worth more” shirt sold will donate $5 to assist in rescuing and restoring victims of sex-trafficking.- The assets needed to make our initial sell-able products.
- Future projects that will empower people world wide.
- Lives will be forever changed through your prayers and financial support!

To my supporters who have been right along side me since the beginning of my World Race journey, I can’t find words to thank you enough. It really was a life changing year and just the beginning of a journey that continues on throughout the rest of my life… I love each and everyone of you!
