I am excited to finally post a blog here in Costa Rica as internet has been very scarce.
We arrived to our ministry site on thursday night July 3rd and soon realized that we were in the middle of nowhere. Tony, our host, and his wife Rosita live here on a farm with one worker Will. It is a beautiful place surrounded by the rainforest that is full of monkeys that announce their presence quite frequently.
When we pulled up to the farm, all of our nerves were running wild because we knew that we would be staying in our tents this month. After an orientation of what we would be doing it was time to get the tents out. Before we even had time to blink, Rosita said “hey let me show you were yall will be sleeping”. We all looked at each other puzzled cause we thought that we were tenting. Not only were we not in tents, we had bunk beds with a roof over our head! What a surprise that was!
Sometimes in life, we expect the worse and then out of nowhere something good happens. Let us recognize those things for what they are and give credit to the One who orchestrates it. These “things” im referring to are called “God things” and more often than not we do not realize it.
We are absolutely not at all worthy of receiving these unexpected blessings that God bestows on us. He does it because He loves us uncontrollably and wants to treat us like royalty. How many times have you had a “God thing” happen in your life and you missed it?
I encourage you all to be on the lookout for these “God things” and when they do happen, do not forget to give Him the glory.
