This is my last blog of The World Race. I can’t believe that these 11 months are almost over. Its been an amazing year.
Its almost 6:30 in the morning and while I typically am not up at this time, due to the excessive amount of people trying to access internet during the day this is the best time to get it. I am sitting in the foyer of our Hostel in Antigua, Guatemala reflecting on these last 11 months. Its been a crazy ride to say the least. Its also been very hard at times too but so rewarding. I’m not sure I can accurately put into words exactly how this year has been but it has been great nonetheless.
I can remember back in March we were in Bolivia and I was very homesick and I contemplated coming home. It seems so long ago but looking back now I can see how that one week of misery has carried me through until the end. I am so thankful for supportive friends, family, and teammates that didn’t let me wallow in my self-pity and pushed me to overcome those struggles.
I want to thank so many of you who have supported me this year through finances and most importantly through prayer. I have most definitely felt every prayer throughout these last 11 months. I owe way more than just a “thank you” on this blog but I suppose that will suffice until I get home and see y’all face to face. I could not have made it through this year without all the love and support and I am forever grateful.
At this time I don’t plan on posting on this page again but who knows. Please find me on Facebook and keep up with what will be happening next in my life. Thank you all once again. God Bless. See you in 4 days!
